Body cast or forged in aluminum alloy, then machined; external frames are milled flat. The spool is designed with wide drum to accommodate heavy or backing‑burdened line. The spring check mechanism uses tempered steel springs, riveted pawls, and a reversible system for changing retrieve side. Line guard wire is bent and mounted securely to prevent line slippage from spool. Hardware screws and spindle made from plated steel or stainless; careful machining ensures spool is concentric. Finish is bright anodized or polished, then plate or painted trim, plus enamel or etched logos. Spool removal or replacement is designed to be serviceable, with parts existing.
