The Gordon Garland

The Gordon Garland: A Round of Devotions by His Followers is a 1965 anthology issued by the Theodore Gordon Flyfishers and edited by Arnold Gingrich. It marked the fiftieth anniversary of the death of Theodore Gordon (1854-1915), the Catskill angler and fly tier whom many revere as the father of modern American fly fishing. Gingrich gathered essays from the leading angling writers of his day in tribute to Gordon. For readers of Catskill history and classic American angling prose, it is a heartfelt tribute from the generation that carried Gordon's tradition forward.
