Casting Lesson FAQ

Q: What to bring?

A: Nothing! We can provide all required gear. However, if you are planning on using your tackle for fishing we suggest you bring it for the lesson.

Q: How do we set up the time?

A: We will reach out to you directly after your order has been placed to organize a date and times that suits your schedule.

Q: Where do we meet?

A: All lessons take place in Central Park.

Q: What will I learn?

A: Whether you are a beginner or advanced caster, we can help. Our lessons focus on your individual goals, regardless of your experience level.

Q: Is one 1-hour class enough time to learn how to cast?

A: Yes, one hour is generally enough time to learn the basics of fly casting.

If you have never touched a fly rod before we can make sure that you have the skills necessary to cast with confidence when you hit the water for the first time. Our lessons focus on teaching the fundamentals of fly casting. We also point out common casting errors so you are able to self-correct as you continue to practice on your own.

If you are a more advanced caster and want to focus on improving your Double-Haul, we can do that too. A little fine tuning of your casting technique can go a long way, both literally and figuratively!
