A Company of Anglers by Austin M. Francis

A Company of Anglers gathers selected writing from the Anglers' Club Bulletin, the members' publication of the Anglers' Club of New York, covering the quarter century from 1972 to 1997. The collection was edited by Austin McKenney "Mac" Francis, a Catskill fly fisher and author of Catskill Rivers: Birthplace of American Fly Fishing, who belonged to the Anglers' Club and the Brooklyn Fly Fishers. Privately printed by the club in New York in 1998, it was illustrated with sketches by sporting artist Peter Corbin and produced by W. Thomas Taylor. For readers who love the clubby, literate side of American angling, it offers a window into the stories New York's Anglers' Club chose to keep from its own pages.
