Three years ago, Tsimane lodge did not exist and most fly fisherman had no idea what a Golden Dorado was… Now, Tsimane Lodge is one of the premier destinations in the world and dorado are deservedly recognized as an incredible gamefish.

Located in the heart of Bolivia, within the Secure Indian Reservation, Tsimane Lodge features some of the most remote and amazing fishing and scenery anywhere in the world.

This region represents the best dorado fishing the world has to offer. Imagine wading in a clear river, the size of a typical trout stream, but surrounded by jungle and teaming with life… Instead of trout, you are sight casting to schools of dorado averaging 10-20 pounds. Dorado over 20 pounds are common, as are Pacu, another gamefish that is very challenging, strong, and also previously unknown to most fly fishers.
