The Rio Grande is unlike any other river in the world, it is THE place for large sea-run brown trout. Because Rio Grande is so unique, it is one of the few destinations that has no competition for this type of fishing. Despite the stark landscape, anglers travel from around the world time and time again to this remarkable place. This is the kind of trip that one could both love and hate at the same time: challenging due to the travel distance and unpredictable weather, but always worth the effort. Very special.

The newest of the Río Grande lodges, Toon Ken caters to only six anglers on the middle and upper reaches of the Río Grande, where traditional gear and floating lines are the rule.
